LIGNIA’s flame retardant product recognized in global architectural awards
Multi award winning company LIGNIA has just seen its US LIGNIA Fire product be honored with a prestigious Special Mention in the Architizer A+Awards for the Building Envelopes and Cladding category. Architizer has a global audience of millions of architects who use it to connect with building product manufacturers; its mission is to equip and inspire architects the world over with the tools they need to design and build better buildings and cities. Its annual Architizer A+Awards have global recognition.
Out of the thousands of projects that were submitted from over a hundred countries, fewer than 5% were chosen by the Jury as Special Mention honorees, reinforcing LIGNIA's growing reputation as an industry leader for building materials and design worldwide.
LIGNIA's revolutionary flame retardant modified timber is used in decking, sidings (cladding), windows, doors and all types of millwork and joinery. With LIGNIA Fire's ‘out of the box’ built-in flame retardancy there’s no need for costly and lengthy treatments with third parties, leading to greater cost savings and enhanced environmental and time efficiencies for builders.
Lisa Ayala, LIGNIA's North America Sales Manager is delighted with this accolade: “This is a huge honor for us and it’s wonderful to see LIGNIA Fire being recognized for all its properties including is beautiful color, sustainably sourced material and exceptional flame spread rating. It’s a real testament to LIGNIA's team of scientists, wood modification technical and commercial teams.”
