LIGNIA seminars pull in over 1,000 architects in the US

Our CEU programme in the US has enjoyed great success over the last seven months, with over 1,000 architects attending our in-person and online AIA-accredited seminars.

Lisa Ayala, Sales Manager for North America, joined forces with American hardwood expert and TEDxDayton presenter, Criswell Davis to deliver the training entitled ‘High-Performance Modified Wood: Beauty Built to Last.’

Beginning in February, the duo visited training centres across North America to deliver the message and received outstanding feedback from those in attendance. The program covered an overview of the wood modification process and the results of this – a product that is non-toxic, highly durable, Class A fire-rated and environmentally friendly. It also explained how LIGNIA contributes to LEED v4 certification.

Our course leaders

Criswell Davis is pleased to be a part of the LIGNIA CEU program.

He says: "I am very pleased to have the opportunity to tell the story of FSC® certified LIGNIA and its significant role in biophilic design. The design community has been very engaged in our AIA/CEU presentations, both in-person and via webinars, asking great questions.

"The keen interest has been in the fact that LIGNIA transforms sustainably-grown radiata pine into a non-toxic, long length, wide width, clear product for both interior and exterior applications with a hardness (Janka) rating higher than teak or white oak. I am excited to continue our educational efforts going forward."

Sales Manager for North America, Lisa Ayala, says:

"Our CEU course has been presented to well over one thousand architects in the last six months. With the distinct privilege of having renowned hardwood expert, Criswell Davis, working with us to present our course to the architect and design community.

"Much of the feedback and subsequent interest in specifying LIGNIA has come from Criswell's expansive knowledge and entertaining presentation style.

"I am so pleased to be working with Criswell to bring this course to North American architects."
